One Young World is one of the most important youth summits and the second most international youth event in the world after the Olympic Games. It gathers together some of the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. At each annual summit the most valuable young talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organizations are joined by world leaders such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson, Professor Muhammad Yunus, President Bill Clinton and Arianna Huffington.
At the fourth annual summit, One Young World 2013 in South Africa, Pradiip Alvarez and Liz Alarcón addressed more than 1300 delegates from over 190 countries at the Leadership and Governance Plenary Session, becoming the first young Venezuelans to give widespread exposure about the reality of their country. During the summit, Pradiip also participated in the Al Jazeera program South2North along with Pakistani author Fatima Bhutto and Somali human rights defender Ilwad Elman. He was invited to be in a photo shoot for Vanity Fair UK along with NASA Astronaut Ron Garan.
